Anderson Glass Company was
established in 1949. This Ohio Corporation started out as a full
service glass retailer servicing the residential, automotive and
commercial markets. As the company grew, so did its market penetration
with the development of other products in glass. In 1977, the company
expanded into supplying the furniture industry with bent glass for
curio, dinning room and case good cabinets. Anderson Glass was approached
in 1996 to research the development of fully tempered sagged glass
for the lighting industry. Its expertise in the bending of glass
only helped in determining what was needed for this industry. After
a one-year study was completed, it was apparent the industry was
in need of someone to produce a high quality tempered lens with
precision and efficiency. Two years later, Anderson engineers developed
the first high speed furnace to do just that and has enjoyed the
relationships it has established with America's leading lighting
manufacturers. Today, many lighting engineers are designing fixtures
to accept these lenses and are able to introduce new product to
markets more quickly than in years past. Using Anderson Glass lenses,
lead-times are greatly reduced as lighting designers and engineers
discover better and more cost effective fixtures that help distribute
light and create greater lumens downward. As the technology moves
forward to reduce the world's energy demands, Anderson Glass Corporation
will lead the fight as we discover newer technologies that consumers
demand for our ever-changing world. With our partnership in quality
and service, together, we can greatly reduce the world's energy
demands through better lighting designs and cost effective fixtures.
